As a reminder, Opening Day for the 2023 baseball and softball season is tomorrow, Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Norton High School multi-purpose turf field! We encourage all players and families to participate.
We have been monitoring the weather forecast closely and we have decided to try to get the events and games in before the rain moves into the area on Saturday afternoon. A detailed timeline of events is listed below:
Parking: Yelle Elementary, either out front or in the circle behind the school
9:30 AM – Parade line-up
Players are encouraged to get to the Yelle Elementary by 9:30am in their uniforms to line-up with their teams before the parade. Teams will line-up behind the school by the tennis courts.
10:00 AM – Team Parade
Teams will walk around the Yelle Elementary School and onto the Norton High School multi-purpose turf field and line-up across the infield for the Opening Ceremony.
10:15 AM – Opening Ceremony
Teams will be introduced, remarks from Board members, and the ceremonial first pitch of the 2023 season.
10:30 AM – 2:00 PM – Food and Games
Ballpark Food and fun and games for the whole family!
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM - Game Time
4 Games at one time on the multi-purpose turf field! Check out our younger divisions and cheer them on as they open up their 2023 seasons.
We hope you are able to join the fun for the whole family. In addition to the team parade, Opening Ceremony, and the games on the turf field, there will be things for the whole family to enjoy, including: Cheering on our younger divisions, lawn games, home run derby, running and throwing competitions, face painting, ice cream truck, and much more! Ballpark food and drinks will be available.

As a quick reminder, town polls open at 8:00am at the Norton Middle School. Be sure to stop by and vote before heading to Opening Day!
