2026 Spring Rec BASEBALL Requirements
PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW IN THE DIRECT SEQUENCE LISTED. It will make your lives easier and our compliance process run much smoother.
1. Save a photo of the front of your license as jpeg (or PDF)
3. Complete the Little League Abuse Awareness Training (link here or below) AND save the completion certificate as a PDF a. Register under ‘2026 ‘Coach/Assistant/Volunteer Registration’ program
5. Ensure a copy of License, CORI Form & Abuse Awareness certificate are uploaded under appropriate sections
6. Upon registration, check email (including spam folders) for emails from Little League and follow the link to complete JDP background check.
These requirements must be completed every year, regardless of whether you’ve been screened in the past or have completed the abuse training online.
Norton Youth Baseball and Softball has a zero-tolerance policy regarding any coaches or volunteers who participate in league activities without meeting these requirements. We deeply appreciate our volunteers and could not operate without you, but the safety of our players is our top priority.
Abuse Awareness Training provided by Little League Baseball
All volunteers must complete the Abuse Awareness Training provided by Little League Baseball.
To complete the Abuse Awareness Training:
- Go to the Little League Baseball website. https://www.littleleague.org/university/articles/abuse-awareness-training-course/
- Log in using your username and password, or register a free account.
- Complete the course.
After completing the course, please save the certificate as a PDF and submit with your Volunteer Registration.
CORI Form Instructions
All volunteers must complete a CORI form before working with any teams or players in the league. Please follow the instructions below to fill out the CORI form:
- There are two versions of the CORI form available (Microsoft Word and PDF). You only need to complete one version. Please note that there are two pages on the form.
- On Page 1, sign and date the form.
- On Page 2, fill out the "Subjects' Information" and "Current Address" sections. Do not fill out the section below "Subject Verification."
- Take a clear photo of the front of your driver’s license, state-issued ID, or passport.
- Please submit the completed forms within your Volunteer Registration.
